What static QR codes contain, how privacy works, and what to test before printing them in public.Does this QR code expire or track scans?
No. BarcodeMaker creates a static QR code containing exactly the URL, text, or Wi-Fi details you enter. There is no redirect service, account, or expiration date, and BarcodeMaker does not receive scan events. A linked third-party website may still run its own analytics.
How do I make a QR code easy to scan?
Use a dark foreground on a light background, keep the clear border around the code, and avoid making it too small. For print, download 1024 pixels when practical. Test the final physical item with more than one phone and from the expected viewing distance.
Can I create a QR code for guest Wi-Fi?
Yes. Enter the network name, security type, password, and whether the network is hidden. The password becomes part of the QR payload, so anyone who can scan the printed code can potentially retrieve it. Use a guest network rather than a private administrative network.
Why does a valid QR code open the wrong page?
The code faithfully stores the entered value, including typing mistakes, missing https, or an outdated address. Open the destination manually, paste the final URL into the tool, and scan the downloaded or printed code before distributing menus, packaging, or signs.
Can I edit the destination after printing?
Not with this static generator. Changing the destination requires creating and printing a new QR code. Editable destinations normally use a redirect service, which can add tracking, fees, or expiration. Static codes trade that flexibility for directness and independence.
