Products are stored in this browser's local storage on this device. BarcodeMaker does not upload the sheet to a server or require an account. Clearing browser data, using private mode, or changing devices can remove access, so export a CSV backup regularly.
Can I move the inventory to another computer?
Yes. Use Export CSV on the current computer, then keep that file as your portable backup. The sheet does not yet import a full saved workspace automatically, but the CSV remains readable in Excel or Google Sheets and can feed the barcode workflow.
What do stock and reorder point mean?
Stock is the quantity you currently have. Reorder point is the quantity at which you want a low-stock warning. For example, stock 2 with a reorder point of 4 is marked low, helping you notice replenishment work without pretending to be a full ERP system.
Do I need a barcode or SKU before adding a product?
A SKU is required because it connects the product record to labels and exports, but you can create one with the built-in SKU generator. A registered retail barcode is not required for internal storage, shelf, or stockroom labels that stay inside your business.
How do I avoid losing changes?
Export a CSV after meaningful edits and keep it with your normal business backups. Browser-local storage is private and convenient, but it is not a cloud backup. Avoid clearing site data until you have checked that the latest product list exists in a separate file.
