Terms of Use
These terms explain the rules for using BarcodeMaker. By using this service, you agree to these terms. Last updated: June 16, 2026.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using BarcodeMaker at barcodemaker.xyz, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms apply to all visitors and users of the website.
2. What the service provides
BarcodeMaker is a free, browser-based tool that converts Excel and CSV files into printable Code 128 barcode label PDFs. The service is provided as a utility for operational and internal labeling tasks. It is not a certified compliance tool for retail barcode standards such as GS1, EAN, or UPC.
- File processing happens entirely in your browser. BarcodeMaker does not receive or store your uploaded files.
- Generated PDFs are downloaded directly to your device.
- The service requires no account registration and is free to use.
- BarcodeMaker is supported by advertising through Google AdSense.
3. Permitted use
You may use BarcodeMaker to generate barcode label PDFs from files that you own or are authorized to process. Permitted uses include:
- Creating internal inventory, warehouse, or shelf labels for products you own or manage.
- Generating packing or shipping labels for your own orders and operations.
- Testing the barcode generator with sample or dummy data.
- Creating asset, equipment, or event labels for your organization.
4. Prohibited use
You may not use BarcodeMaker to:
- Create barcodes intended to deceive, defraud, or mislead consumers or businesses.
- Generate labels that imply a GS1 or official retail registration that does not exist.
- Process files containing other people's private data without their authorization.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the service.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose under applicable law.
5. Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of labels you generate and use. Before using labels in commercial, shipping, retail, or compliance workflows:
- Verify that barcode values scan correctly and encode the intended data.
- Test print alignment on one page before running a full batch.
- Check that the barcode format (Code 128) is acceptable for your intended use case.
- Confirm that labels meet any relevant regulatory or platform requirements for your industry.
6. No warranty
BarcodeMaker is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, expressed or implied. We make reasonable efforts to keep the tool working correctly, but we do not guarantee that:
- Generated barcodes will be readable by every scanner, system, or device.
- PDF output will align perfectly with every label sheet or printer model.
- The service will be available at all times without interruption.
- The tool will meet specific industry, marketplace, or regulatory standards.
Use the print quality checklist at /barcode-label-quality-checklist to verify your output before committing to a large print run.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BarcodeMaker and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of generated labels, including but not limited to scanning failures, shipment errors, or labeling compliance issues.
8. Advertising and third-party services
BarcodeMaker displays advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve personalized or contextual advertisements. These third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. See the Privacy Policy for details on how advertising data is handled.
9. Intellectual property
The BarcodeMaker brand, website design, and source code are the property of the operator. The PDF label files you generate from your own data belong to you. We do not claim any rights over content or data you provide.
